Outfit of the Day

Don't have the courage to actually take pictures of myself quite yet so I will describe my outfit.
Was not so chilly so I wore an Old Navy "Bright Nite" blue V neck cardigan, an American Eagle white tank and Zara jean shorts.  Writing it down makes me feel like I might be dressing like a teenager. Need to change that immediately.

The Cooking Channel

My free time is spent:
a) perusing cookbooks
b) watching the Cooking channel
c) checking out fashion that I know I will never be able to afford (If only Chanel would sponsor sites)

So I have discovered a new show called French Food at Home with Laura Calder.  Never been a french cuisine type of gal but I have developed a few interesting (yet simple) French inspired recipes after watching.  Ironically the soundtrack is what first drew me to watch - a quirky type of song.

Anyway I am currently trying to figure out what to do with my professional life.  Inspiration prevails everywhere but I want to make sure I do something original and not even remotely similar to what is out there.  After leaving my professional life (which I spent my entire life obtaining) for a ... not thought out idea.

I want I want I want...

Halloween cooking

A flood of Halloween recipes ran through my head last week.  Should I make pumpkin cookies or "bloody" red velvet cake with orange frosting.  Could not decide until late Friday.  My final decisions: Hotdogs dressed up as "mummies" and eyeball nachos - both were amazing (not just my opinion).

Restart

This blog is going to be my outlet. I will be discussing my attempt at cooking, photography, fashion (learning about) and politics.
I love the Fall.  The change in season, the smell in the air, etc.  It brightens my day when I see candy corn and pumpkins in the stores starting in August.  My excitement overtook me during my last grocery store visit.  Pumpkins, pumpkin spice, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and pumpkin puree were the majority of my purchases.   I searched endless for recipes containing the word "pumpkin" and found 5 that I am going to try out and post about in this blog.
Several hours later - My attempt to make a Pumpkin bar has turned into an "interesting" Ginger pumpkin pie cake.  Posted below:
